A fabulous alternative to Mulled Wine. Mulled Cider Spice Nothing says Christmas better than a mug of steaming cider rich with mulling spices – and it's a great way to stave off the cold too. This lively mix has the whole festive family of mulled cider spices together in one perfect blend, starring allspice, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. But be warned – this warming winter treat is deliciously moreish!
Allspice, Dried Orange Peel, Ground Cinnamon (Cassia), Cloves, Nutmeg.
Place the cider, sugar and Mulled Cider Spice sachets in a large saucepan. Heat to just below boiling point and hold this temperature for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove sachets and serve with apple slices to garnish. For a warming non-alcoholic alternative?add 2 sachets of mulled cider spices to 1 litre of apple juice. Heat as above then remove the sachets and serve garnished with apple slices. Mulling spices are also delicious with alcohol-free cider.
